exhibition paam project, time for a walk with normal people, Artists CINO and BORNEO, based in barcelona

Time for a walk with normal people.

Merging Cino and Borneo’s collections feels like creating a vibrant dialogue between two unique artistic voices. Almost like a crossover episode in art. Just like when The Flintstones met The Jetsons, or when the Griffins crossed paths with the Simpsons.

Just as those classic crossovers in pop culture surprise us and spark our imaginations, this exhibition does the same through art.

The way their distinct styles and techniques interact can lead to unexpected narratives and connections—almost like crafting a new storyline where characters with different backgrounds and abilities unite for a common purpose. It’s a celebration of creativity, highlighting how diverse perspectives can enrich the artistic landscape.

It’s that magical blend of styles and perspectives that can spark new creativity and conversations, much like iconic pop culture moments that unexpectedly click. The fusion of their works invites viewers to explore connections they might not have considered before.

“How do you manage your time? Sometimes you gotta stop overthinking and just go for a walk to clear up your mind. When you are at the gym an hour took forever and you can spend 3 hours scrolling Instagram or Tik Tok like nothing? Nah, that’s fucked up.

Time is the most valuable thing we have, and the only thing it never comes back, so we gotta do the best we can with it!

And don’t get me wrong… I am not talking about being productive every second. I am talking about being conscious about the time we spend doing what… but don’t get anxious, chill when you gottachill and take action when you gotta be productive.

Get to know yourself, manage your time and energy, unlock the power of your mind!”

Normal People is an artistic exploration of human diversity, inspired by both the characters who inhabit each canvas and the vibrant space where they are displayed. In this series, each portrait is a celebration of individuality, a reflection on what it means to be normal in a world where difference is the true norm.

The concept of normality, often associated with conformity and predictability, is challenged and redefined in these works. Through intense colors and bold shapes, these characters embody the diversity of personalities, emotions, and experiences we encounter in our everyday lives. They are representations of unique people, with stories and styles that might perhaps intersect in a shared space such as this. Here, normality is fluid, shaped by the daily interaction of individuals with their own perspectives and backgrounds. It is a place where diversity is welcomed, where each person contributes to a larger, more complex mosaic.

Normal People invites the viewer to reconsider their own ideas about normality. In a space where so many ways of being and living converge, each person becomes a protagonist within this collective narrative. In the end, being normal is being true to oneself, and this series is a tribute to that authenticity.
